Although best known as Herr Flick in the BBC comedy ’Allo! ’Allo!, Richard Gibson has appeared in many films and television productions. He was first seen as Marcus in Joseph Losey’s film, The Go-Between, then as Apollo in Tom Brown’s Schooldays for the BBC, before enrolling at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Has narrated a number of documentaries for television, such as Eco Detectives and Pirates and Parrots, and provided voice-overs for radio and television, including Lego and Thompson Holidays. Recorded books include The Happy Prince and Other Stories and The Memoirs of Hector Berlioz. He regularly writes features and short stories for newspapers and magazines, as well as plays and book adaptations for radio.
