Madalena was born in Lisbon and moved to London on her own when she was 17 after being offered a scholarship for a degree course in performing arts. “Falling into musical theatre was a fruit of chance” and a vehicle to stretch her aptitudes for acting, singing and even dancing. At this point in time, Madalena is already an established actress in the West End after performing in such shows as Fame, Chicago, Zorro the Musical and Over the Threshold. Madalena has just finished playing the role of Fantine in the acclaimed 25th Anniversary production of Les Miserables with rave reviews.
