Howard Hughes first went on air when he won a radio DJ contest at the age of 16 - at home in Liverpool. He was Merseyside station Radio City's first graduate trainee - and since then has been up and down the dial and around the nation as a journalist and presenter. He spent two years with Independant Radio News - breaking the start of the first Gulf War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Stories covered have ranged from the death of Princess Diana and 9/11 during the decade with Chris Tarrant at Capital FM. He did two years with LBC 97.3 where he covered the second Gulf War - won his seventh radio award - and saw Tony Blair through his first phone in. Now a voice on the breafeast show for London's 102.2 Smooth FM and presenting/researching the UK's first weekly show on the paranormal 'The Unexplained' on TalkSPORT. Howard has worked for many stations including BFBS, BRMB, BBC Radio Berkshire, Capital FM, Radio City, Ocean FM, County Sound/The Eagle and Radio Nova. He's often heard 'reporting from London' on stations like WGN Chicago and CFRB Toronto. He atarted doing TV voiceovers in 2001 with 'Cilla's Moment of Truth' and can now be heard on many top TV shows. He's also heard on radio ads and station idents nationwide. Early on in his career, Howard was one of the ID voices on BBC Radio One's 'The Steve Wright Show'. Howard is available for training sessions for radio journalists and company spokespeople.
