A period which saw him recognised as one of the most talented radio broadcasters in the UK winning Sony Awards in 2003, 2004 and three in 2005 alone! 2006 saw Christian move to Virgin Radio, now Absolute Radio, where he currently presents the breakfast show from 6am It hasn’t always been plain sailing. Christian was a relatively late starter in radio. After a period as a failed stand up comedian and various dodgy sales jobs he managed to talk the bosses at Bournemouth’s 2CR FM into giving him a show! From there he moved to present breakfast on Liverpool’s Juice FM. In 2001 his growing reputation as a standout talent reached London and XFM recruited him to present Breakfast. Since then he has proved to be the most unique and innovative talent in the UK, with the BBC recruiting him for Five Live’s Fighting Talk and Virgin Radio signing him to present their Breakfast Show. Christian’s talents are not confined to radio. He is constantly in demand from most of the UK’s top TV production companies and he writes for some of the UK’s top publications. This summer has seen Christian presenting “World Cuppa” on ITV4 and “Christian O’ Connell’s Sunday Service” on Sky One.
